This architectural timber featured home lies in Brisbane’s most expensive street with sweeping views over the Brisbane River and onto West End. Designed by Elizabeth Watson Brown Architects and constructed by RAM constructions Qld this luxury home was one of two built in Hiron St Saint Lucia and features beautifully crafted Spotted Gum timber joinery throughout. The extensive use of timber bi-fold doors and two story vertical sliding and fixed windows opens up views from every room that connects it beautifully to its surroundings.

This luxury home is constructed around a two level engineer designed structural steel frame on a concrete slab supported by screwed steel piers up to 30+ meters deep. Structural steel frames were then in filled with timber wall frames followed by the floor system and onto the upper level infill timber wall frames. While the interior is a mix of painted surfaces, timber joinery, stainless steel and sandstone bench tops the external includes rendered block walls with vertical Western Red Cedar wall cladding in Japan Black giving this home a distinctive appearance.
